Dr. Katharina Lasota Heller has been practicing as a lawyer in Canton Zug in Switzerland since 2009 and is also a member of the District Bar Association in Warsaw. She has many years of experience in international law firms, including DLA Piper, CMS Cameron McKenna and White & Case, as well as at an international company from the internet industry – Naspers – where she managed the global legal compliance programme, dealt with legal issues in many countries and jurisdictions around the world, and represented the company in the Naspers Group in front of various bodies and organisations, in particular the European Union.

In 2011-2015, she was Vice-President and President of EDIMA (European Digital Media Association) with its headquarters in Brussels. In the years 2013 – 2015 she was a member of the Board of Trustees at the Max Planck Institute in Munich, and since January 2015 a Senior Fellow at the Brussels branch of the CCIA (Computer and Communication Industry Association).

Dr. Lasota Heller actively promotes the interests of Central and Eastern European businesses in Switzerland, the European Union and other countries.
Dr. Lasota Heller is an advocate and a graduate of law at the University of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. She completed postgraduate studies in European economic law in Würzburg, defended her doctorate prepared as part of a scholarship from the Max Planck Institute in Munich and obtained an LL.M. in international economic law from the McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California. She has received scholarships and won many awards and prizes. She speaks fluent Polish, German and English and good French.

A thinker, visionary, author of numerous publications and articles, recently an active blogger, as well as being a plain speaker and a tough negotiator.
She loves spending time with her family, walking in the mountains and running.
